I am located in Queensland, Australia, where it is beautiful one day and perfect the next :-)

My husband is a wonderful support and our lives are greatly enriched, each and every day, with our beautiful Cotons.

‘THIS IS WHERE DREAMS DO COME TRUE'

My prefix ‘GUYS’N’DOLLS’ comes from my back ground of ‘Dancing, Performing and Teaching’. I started dancing as a little girl, with Tap, Jazz and Song and Dance, performing in Musical Productions and also doing Ballroom Dancing, becoming a Professional Ballroom Dancer and Teacher. I had my own dance studios, teaching Tap, Jazz and Song and Dance, as well as my own Ballroom Dancing School, with my students and myself competing all over Australia. Dancing was my whole life.

So choosing my prefix to be ‘GUYS’N’DOLLS’ was not only the most perfect name for my new passion in life, but also carries on the beautiful memories of my passion for dance and theatre.

I have been involved with dogs my whole life, growing up we had a beautiful Collie and a poodle, which were family pets, and with us until old age. Then when I was older, my dad fell in love with St. Bernards and went into showing and breeding them. They were amazing dogs and a huge part of our family. Of course I helped, so my dad and I travelled around to all the shows as a father and daughter show team. It was so wonderful doing this with my dad, something we both loved and shared together, a very special time in my life.

When the girls had babies my dad and I would take shifts, dad would watch mum and babies for 2 hours and then it was my turn, so that we could make sure that mummy didn’t lay on her puppies, until they were old enough and strong enough to get out from underneath her.

My dad had the only St. Bernard invited to attend the Bicentennial Show in 1988, yes he was a very very proud man that day :) wonderful memories that will be in my heart forever.

It was many years later, when I married, I chose to go into showing and breeding Ragdoll Cats in 1997, importing and establishing quality, 100% Traditional Lines and doing extremely well on the show bench, both here in Australia and having many ‘WORLD CHAMPIONS’ around the world. In 2015 I imported my very first Norwegian Forest Cat called DREAM, and that she was, I fell in love with this breed and very quickly made a name for myself, breeding quality kittens and once again doing very well on the show bench, taking out ‘SUPREME OVERALL EXHIBIT IN SHOW’ at the Royal Brisbane Show in 2017 with my beautiful boy ‘GUYSNDOLLS MICKY J’, who was from my very first homebred Norwegian litter, a very very extremely proud moment.

I have to say though, my heart, whilst I adored my cats, I was missing that special something that only a dog can bring to your life, seeing their happy faces smiling back at you, their wagging tails when they see you, and their longing to be with you, wanting to please you and help you through those tough days, bringing love and pure joy to your life each and every day.

It was then I started to search the many breeds, breeds that would suit me the best (now I am older), our home and of course our lifestyle. I am home 24/7, so I wanted a companion, a smaller breed, one that wanted to be with me and a loving part of my everyday life. I still do not know how I came across this amazing breed, the COTON DE TULEAR, as I had looked at the different breeds over and over again, for months, until one day I saw this name ‘Coton de Tulear’ and clicked on it, my heart skipped a beat, I could not believe my eyes, I said to myself, there and then, this is the breed for me, they are what I want in my life. This perfect white bundle of fur, with those gorgeous black eyes, it was LOVE at first sight.

I started to do a lot of research into the breed, learning about them and contacting breeders overseas, to see about importing new lines into Australia, with the gene pool being so small in Australia. To me, it was very important to bring in new bloodlines so as I was doing the very best for the breed that I could.

This did prove to be quite difficult as a lot of the breeders preferred not to go through all that was required when importing to Australia, as this was quite a process.

After a very long period of time, I was truly blessed, to find some very beautiful, knowledgable, experienced breeders who were happy for me to adopt their exquisite puppies from their amazing and much sort after lines.

I will be forever grateful to Elisabetta De Luca of COTONBRIE COTONS in Italy for my amazing boy ‘COTONBRIE TANGO’, he is not only stunning to look at, but has a personality and charm that melts the hearts of all that meet him. Also a huge thank you to Marzanna of ‘SIMPLYCOTON ‘ in Poland for our boy ‘DREAM COME TRUE SIMPLYCOTON’, he is such a sweet boy, with a beautiful heart.

This is where my ‘DREAM’ started, and my life has been filled with the love, joy, entertainment and happiness, every day since the arrival of our beautiful Cotons.
